Hello! It's been a while...

It’s been a while since I last posted here—years, actually! But here I am, back at it. I’ve got so much to update you all on, so consider this my “proof of life” post. How’s everyone doing?

Early 2022 I got hired at Emerson here in Quezon City. So I have to move back again from Bicol to Metro Manila. After spending a good 2 years in Bicol, I actually got really sad ngl. But it's okay cause I finally had the chance to enroll for a driving school and got my drivers license the same year! Then 2023 came in. I was able to check off one of my major goals which is to visit Japan. I cried when we landed there, that's how much I love Japan :( went to Universal Studios (Osaka), rode a bullet train to Tokyo, and visited the happiest place on earth ⸺ Disneyland :O It's truly an honor to visit the land of the rising sun. By the end of 2023 ( November ) I got to visit Taiwan again for the 2nd time. This was a different trip that's why I enjoyed it more. We went on tour and got to visit different tourist spots <3 Ate a lot of Chinese food ( Tho I am not a fan. It was a wonderful experience)

January 2024 came which marks my 2nd year in the company. Never really thought I'd go this far lol. I usually get bored with my job easily so it really is a surprise. But throughout the years, I made a pretty decent amount of friends. Everyone is nice and approachable. Maybe because I have the same humor as the 70% of Emerson's population (Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration. Or is it?) But here’s the big news: I’m planning on leaving Emerson in September to pursue something a bit more risky—a chance to level up my career and take my skills to the next level. I’ve made the decision to move to Dubai, UAE. I was just there last week, and I instantly fell in love all over again. That’s when I realized—it’s time to take the plunge.

I’m going into this with a “now or never” mentality. I’ve always believed in taking risks to chase what I want, and no matter how it turns out, I’ll have no regrets because I gave it my all. I’m also planning to reinvent myself when I get there—new city, new country, new me. Maybe even a new name, who knows?

I’m excited, nervous, and everything in between, but I’m ready for this new adventure ahead. Let’s see what Dubai has in store for me! 😊

Hopefully, things would go well. So paano ba yan? See you na lang when I get there :)

TAIPEI, TAIWAN

Taipei City, Taiwan. A place I will never forget. Because this is the first time I travelled using my own money. And who would have thought that Taipei offers great food, great destination at such an affordable price. Plus, this city is not expensive at all.

This country is also perfect for those who are travelling out of the country for the first time. Some locals are easy to talk to and some will even help you if you need directions. Just don't be afraid to ask! (Some may communicate with a high tone, but that's totally normal)

The life of this city starts at night. As a lot of people starts roaming around at 6pm, which gave us the idea that this is the perfect time to go out and check all of the good place (and street foods).

If you want to visit Taipei, you can check out our AirBnb located near Tonghua Nigh Market. This is a perfect accommodation because it is just a few walks away from the Bus stop and Xinye Anhe MRT Station. And what's great about this is that it's just 15-20 minutes walk from Taipei 101, where a lot of stores are mostly located.

I love how clean their MRT station is, and their train pass is like a coin! Just select your destination in one of their machines, pay using cash or card and there you have it!

If you just wanted to roam around the city. You can rent a bike for as low as 10 NTD/30 mins. Just scan your card, get the bike, and return it in any UBike Parking as long as there are available parking space. I've also observed that a lot of taiwanese and even tourists use bike for transportation as it is cheap and it is the easiest form of transportation available.

Places we visited

We roamed around Shin ye Road, where a lot of fast food and stores are located.

On our second day, we visited Elephant Mountain which is also one of their tourist attractions.

For our third and last day, we booked a double decker bus tour from Klook. Here's the link: Taipei Double Decker Bus Tour

You can hop on and hop off your preferred destination, unlimited for 4 hours. We used this to visit Chiang Kai-Shek and Taipei 101. They also have a 24 hour unlimited hop on and hop off pass.

And last but definitely not the least. The famous TAIPEI 101. Of course, we booked it ahead of time via Klook.

So for those who loves to see a 360 view of Taipei. You might consider visiting Taipei 101.

And that concludes our Taipei Trip. I hope that you'll visit this wonderful place real soon, as Taiwan have extended their Visa Free Privileges for Filipino Citizens till July 2020.
