This is the first book I've read after 4 (four) years! Yes 4... I can say that I was a little bit of a John Green fan when I started reading books back in high school. His novels such as - The Abundance of Katherine's, Looking for Alaska, and The Fault in Our Stars was my most precious possessions. Looking for Alaska will always be my all time favorite.

What was interesting in this book (The beginning of everything) is that, some people are comparing this book to John Green's *which totally caught my attention to try and read this book* Although reading isn't my hobby anymore. I tried reading it anyway. And here is my review and my honest opinion about this book.

About the book:

"Ezra Faulkner was supposed to be homecoming king, but that was before - before his girlfriend cheated on him, before a car accident shattered his leg, and before he fell in love with new girl Cassidy Thorpe"

So basically, Ezra Faulkner WAS popular in high school. Perfect friends, perfect girlfriend, perfect life. Little did he know that his life will completely change after an accident at a friends party (After Charlotte - His girlfriend, cheated on him). He contemplated about what happened all summer. When the new school year started, at that moment he realized that he no longer belongs to the popular crowd. Little did he know that this will lead him back to his bestfriend Toby Ellicot who he have never spoken in years. I think the accident was a blessing in disguise, because it gave him an opportunity to find real friends, who doesn't care about popularity at all, real friends who care about each other. And then he met the new red hair girl named Cassidy Thorpe a former debate prodigy. A lot of things happened, after a little while Ezra fell in love with Cassidy. So they both decided to be together after a month or two of being friends. I think everything happened really fast between them. I mean, cassidy was a new student. Nonetheless, it made me happy that Ezra found his new love after what happened with his ex-girlfriend charlotte.

I cannot anymore elaborate what happened, but in the end, Ezra was left broken AGAIN. It's not him, it's Cassidy. She has her own issues too, and she can't stand the fact that everytime she see Ezra, it reminds her of her deceased older brother. (You'll get what I'm saying once you read the book) So anyway, it doesn't have a happy ending like some of John Green's books. Though the writing style and the plot of Robyn Schneider's TBOE was a little bit a tiniest bit of similar to John Green's. It amused me a little. But it wasn't really as good as JG's. I am being honest, but you all can give this book a try.

I finished this book in a span of 1 week, but you can probably finish it in 3 days. (I was busy finding a job okay?? hahaha huhu)

I'll give this an 8/10
