TAYTAY TIANGGE HAUL, APRIL 2019
Taytay is very well known for it's variety of affordable textiles and clothings which suites any trend, because their style of clothings are always updated on what is in. It's amazing how price ranges from as low as 35 pesos on spaghetti tops to 300 pesos on strap dress. There are a lot to choose from, which makes it a little bit easy for you to find your preferred design and style. And you can also make a bid (tawad) if the original price is a wee bit higher for you, but of course do not expect a 40 pesos to 50 pesos discount unless you are willing to buy bulk clothes, as they would just usually give you 10 to 20 pesos discount per piece only. But try to ask your preferred price first, as some vendors do not give discounts at all.
HOW TO GET THERE:
Megamall
- From Megamall you can ride a UV, just ask the guards where the UV going to Taytay, Rizal is located. The fare is 40 pesos
- The UV driver will drop you off on the last destination. After that, you have to find a jeepney going to 'Bagong Palengke'
- The jeepney fare going to Bagong Palengke will cost you a standard fare of 9 pesos. You can ask the driver to drop you off the Taytay Tiangge and that's it!
If you know other ways or other modes of transportation going to the Tiangge, then you can do that as well. Whatever floats your boat :-))
The following are the photos of the clothes I got from the Tiangge (will surely update the pics if I have the time)
Item #1

This is the first item that I got, though it's a wee bit expensive than the others, but this is one of my favourites - 220 pesos
Item #2

I bought two of these, same price. And is also too expensive for its quality - 90 pesos/pc
Ps. I asked the vendor for a discount, unfortunately the price is already fixed.
Item #3

This is also one of my favourites - 120 pesos only
Item #4

I guess this is what they call Dolphin Shorts? I'm not sure haha. Original price is 250 pesos, but they gave me this one for - 230 pesos
Item #5

I have no idea what this skirt is called but I bought it for only - 120 pesos
Item #6

Almost the same as shown above, but this one is longer. And I bought them on the same vendor so they gave me a little bit of discount. Original price is 180 pesos, but they automatically gave me this skirt for 160 pesos only since I bought them the item #3 and item #5
Item #7

This one is the cheapest of them all! (cheaper than item #2) I think this is a Maxi dress. Perfect for the beach and the quality of the cloth is amazing, it does not feel cheap at all - 80 pesos
--------------------------------------------------------------------
So I bought a total of 8 pieces for 1,110 pesos. Although the prices are quite higher compared on what we see on social media. You just have to keep on finding the stalls that offer the cheapest clothes. As per checking last time, the 50 pesos and below pieces does not have a really great quality (well, what would you expect on a 35 pesos to 50 pesos clothes)
But all in all, I enjoyed my alone time experience in Taytay Tiangee. I wasn't with my boyfriend because he had some errands to run. So I was forced to go alone haha. And I realised that it was easier to go around without a boyfriend complaining how many times you have already visited a certain stall :P
**Please visit Taytay and support our local clothing manufacturers, much more cheaper than malls, but they almost have the same quality, you just have to find the right item**
ENJOY!
Love, Jane
